Deeply affected by Eduard's death in 1832, Mendelssohn exchanged the Minuetto movement in his A major Quintet op. 18, written six years previously, for a newly composed adagio. It was in this form that the work was finally sent to the publisher. The Quintet in B flat major was only published after Mendelssohn's death; numerous, unauthorized entries by Julius Rietz thus found their way into performance practice. An examination of the autograph allowed for a return of the work to its original form - the commentary contains detailed information on this.

Inventory # : 51480908
UPC: 884088660277
ISBN:
Width: 9.25"
Length: 12"
Height: 0.628"
Product Weight: 1.8 lbs.
Number of Pages:

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0128/7762/7456/files/7327ec83-11f4-5002-99de-14688bac161d.jpg?v=1723646589
https://retrostar-gifts.myshopify.com/products/felix-mendelssohn-bartholdy-string-quintets-op-18-and-87-set-of-parts
